Mizoram government denies receiving MHA letter on Bru crisis

The Mizoram government today said that it has not received any letter from the MHA, which proposed creation of another autonomous district council to solve the Bru (Reang) refugee crisis.
State home department additional secretary, Lalbiakzama told PTI that the state government did not receive such letter purported to be written by the joint secretary of the MHA to the state chief secretary.
Meanwhile, state home minister R Lalzirliana ruled out creation of any other autonomous district council, saying that the government would never agree to further balkanise the small hilly state on ethnic grounds.
