The Mizoram government has constituted a 'District Re-organisation Committee' headed by state Chief Secretary Lalmalsawma, a senior official today said.
The ten-member committee would examine creation of new districts in Mizoram and make suggestions with proposed jurisdictions, the official said.
The committee would examine boundaries of existing districts and sub-divisions in the state and suggest changes and also look into cases where boundaries of districts and sub-divisions under some departments were to be recognised to align with administrative or revenue districts.
