Mobile Internet suspended in Jammu after protests over calf's carcass

Mobile were suspended in district following protests after a carcass of a calf was found in the region today, the police said.

The carcass was found in a link road in Sarore area, 15km from here. A mob carried it to the and sat on a dharna, a told PTI.

Police rushed to the spot and tried to disperse the crowd. The protesters clashed with the policemen and resorted to stone-pelting, resulting in damage to some vehicles, the said.

Mobile has been suspended to prevent spread of rumours, Rajeev Ranjan, (Jammu), told PTI.

The carcass has been sent for post-mortem examination, Ranjan added.
