During a search campaign in the jail, the personnel recovered the mobile phone and sim cards from Ajit, who is serving a life sentence since 2009 in a rape and murder case of a girl, an official spokesperson said here.
A case has been registered against the accused under Prisoner Probation Act and further investigation was being carried out, he said, adding that his call details were also being checked.
