Monsoon remains active in several parts of Himachal Pradesh

Several parts of Himachal Pradesh received light to heavy rain in the last 24 hours with the monsoon remaining active, the meteorological department said on Wednesday.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places in the districts of Kangra, Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur and Mandi, the MeT centre said.
Nagrota Surian received the highest 156 mm rainfall since on Tuesday evening, followed by Sujanpur Tihra (146 mm), Ghumarwin (124 mm), Amb (113 mm) and Nadaun (112 mm), it added.
Rain also lashed popular tourist destinations like Kasauli (65 mm), Dharamshala (72 mm), Nahan (64 mm), Kufri (42 mm), Shimla (40.4 mm) and Dalhousie (13 mm).
The highest temperature was recorded in Bhuntar at 28.2 degrees Celsius, whereas Keylong recorded a low of 13.7 degrees Celsius, the weather department said.
