MP siblings dupe a Delhi resident of Rs 10 lakh: Police

Uttarakhand police today claimed to have busted a case of fraudulent land deal by three siblings from Madhya Pradesh who allegedly duped a Delhi resident, wanting to buy a big piece of land in the heart of this city, for Rs 10 lakh.

Inspector General of Police Sanjay Gunjyal carried out an investigation on a plea by one Jasbir Singh, a resident of Madangir in Delhi, and found Jabalpur resident Anil Chaudhry and his two sisters Mrinal Chaudhry and Bandita Joshi guilty of preparing fake land deed papers and duping Jasbir of Rs 10 lakh as part of a Rs 3 crore deal, a release from the state police headquarters here said.
 

The fake papers pertained to the purchase of more than 15 bighas of land in Rajpur road area of Dehradun.

Singh paid Rs 3 lakh to the accused in cash and the remaining Rs seven lakh by three bank cheques.

IG Gunjyal has directed Dehradun SSP Pushpak Jyoti to lodge an FIR against the three siblings from Madhya Pradesh and take follow up action.
