Maharashtra Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar, who was instrumental in extending liquor prohibition in his home district of Chandrapur, today supported the demand for a total ban on alcohol in Yavatmal district.
"I am with you and you proceed further till the goal is achieved," Mungantiwar told a delegation spearheading the cause of prohibition.
He also backed a rally, to be organised here tomorrow, in support of the ban.

Minister of State for Revenue and district guardian minister Sanjay Rathod also supported the demand.
"The reparations for the rally are over and we expect over 1.5 lakh women and youths to participate," said Sangita Pawar, founder president of Vyasenmukti Andolan Samiti.
