Mystery prevails over the death of a ten-year-old girl whose naked body was today found hanging from a tree near a temple near here.
Police said members of the family were sleeping but when they woke up in the morning they found the girl missing and launched a search.
Some locals said they found the girl's naked body hanging from a tree near a temple.
Tension prevailed when people did not allow police to remove the body till the culprit was arrested. However, police pacified them and the body was sent to the government hospital for post-mortem.
Police said there was blood in the girl's mouth and the body had bruises all over.
The victim's father is a handloom worker.
