Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today directed officials to shift unauthorised statues and also remove cut-outs and flex outdoor hoardings that are causing disturbance to road users.

"Most of the unauthorised statues and cut-outs in the state are found to be on pavements, sideways and in public spaces," a Government release said here.

The Chief Minister ordered officials to ensure that the statues are shifted and cut-outs of associations, political parties (irrespective of the party in question) are removed to ease the flow of traffic, it said.

He said the statues of national leaders could be shifted to compounds of Government institutions.

The release quoted orders of the Supreme Court and High Court over removal of hoardings/banners and shifting of statues from public places.

The Chief Minister asked officials to alert District Collectors on identifying these statues, cut-outs and flex hoardings and convince people from the respective community to shift them to private spaces within 15 days.
