A one-day consultation by National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) will be held here tomorrow to discuss recommendations to be submitted to the HRD ministry for inclusion in the new education policy.
"A series of consultations has been held in different parts of the country and the last consultation is going to be held in Jaipur tomorrow for eight northern Indian states that will be attended by representatives from the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, academicians, members NGO and also children," member of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Priyank Kanungo, said here.
A special session for children will be held in which children from blind schools, madrasas and those rescued from traffickers will take part and give their suggestions.

"We have had consultations in Goa, Tirupati, Ranchi where we received suggestions from children and we will include them in our recommendations to the HRD ministry very soon," he told a press conference here.
"NCPCR and SCPCRs play an important role in reviewing child-related policies and providing recommendations for their effective implementation.
Therefore, the aim of the consultations is to bring different stakeholders at all levels working in the field of education and child rights on a common platform," he said.
He said that the day-long consultation will have five technical sessions on extending outreach of school education, strengthening of vocational education, reforming school examination system, promotion of IT in school and adult education and focus on child health and safety.
