The Indian national football team is all set to train for the next three days in the national capital before heading to Bangalore where they will play their opening fixture of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against a formidable Oman side on June 11.

While the camp was originally scheduled to be held in Bangalore, the reason for this short camp at Ambedkar Stadium is for the procurement of US Visa which is necessary for travelling to Guam where they would play an away qualifier on June 16.

"Since the players have already assembled in New Delhi for the US visa interviews for travelling to Guam and will have to stay here till June 5, chief coach Stephen Constantine thought that it would be ideal to not waste time and train at the Ambedkar Stadium," a member of the Indian contingent told PTI today.

For going to Guam, the team would need to appear for US visa interview. Tomorrow, the squad will train early in the morning before going for the bio-metric test and June 5, they will have an interview.

On each of the three days, the squad will at least train for a session at the Ambedkar. On June 5 evening, they will leave for Bangalore, where the training would start from the very next day.
