In restricted movements, nickel prices dropped 0.58 per cent to Rs 566.80 per kg in futures trade in the evening session today as traders reduced their bets.
Trading remained closed for the morning session on account of 'Id-e-Milad'.
At Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in current month was trading Rs 3.30, or 0.58 per cent down at Rs 566.80 per kg in a business turnover of 2,741 lots.

The metal for delivery January also shed Rs 3.30, or 0.57 per cent, to Rs 572.70 per kg in a turnover of 817 lots.
Analysts said the fall in nickel prices in futures trade is mostly attributed to trimming of positions by speculators amid absence of global cues.
