On Jan 1, minor stabs to death his ex-girlfriend's husband

A minor boy allegedly stabbed to death the husband of his ex-girlfriend out of jealousy in east Delhi's Kalyanpuri area on the New Year day, police said today.

Sumit (22) was stabbed twice while returning home on January 1 by the 16-year-old school dropout, said a senior police officer.

Sumit had got married to the women around one-and-a-half months back, he said.

The juvenile was upset that the woman had left him for someone else and so attacked her husband with a knife, he added.

Sumit used to work as a sweeper in Noida. The minor was identified and apprehended and has been sent to a juvenile home, he said.
 

Police are investigating whether Sumit and the juvenile knew each other, he added.
