One person dead, 20 injured in bus accident in Bihar

One person was killed and 20 others were injured, five of them seriously, when a speeding bus overturned at National Highway - 31 near Dangrahaghat bridge in Bihar's Purnia district today, police said.

The bus was on way to Siliguri from Patna with 35 passengers.

Police said the accident took place under Baisi police station area when the bus travelling at high speed collided with the road divider.

"The identity of the dead person is yet to be ascertained. All the injured have been admitted to hospital in Kishanganj for treatment," said Baisi SHO Om Prakash Yadav.
