One person killed, two injured in boundary wall collapse

One person was killed and two others were injured when a boundary wall of a building in Bhowanipore area collapsed and fell on them today.

Kalu Sheikh (26), a resident of Murshidabad, succumbed to the injuries which he received after a boundary wall fell on him this afternoon, a senior officer of Kolkata Police said.

The incident happened at around noon when a boundary wall between premises in Bakulbagan Row in Bhowanipur Police Station limits suddenly collapsed when contract labourers were engaged in some water connection/sewerage work, the officer said

Three labourers received injuries and all of them were rushed to hospital. Milan Sheikh(30) and Balu Sheikh(20) were treated and discharged, the sources added.
