A Pakistani woman parliamentarian was critically injured in a gun attack by unidentified men here today.
Mutahidda Quami Movement lawmaker Tahira Asif had left her residence here and was going to Islamabad to attend the National Assembly session when two motorcyclist intercepted her car at Iqbal Town area and opened fire on her, police said.
She suffered three bullets injuries and was shifted to Sheikh Zayed Hospital where doctors described her condition critical.

"We are trying to save her life as excessive loss of blood has put her life in danger," Acting Lahore police chief Zulfiqar Hameed quoted a doctor as having said.
He said the police are investigating the case. MQM chief Altaf Husain has condemned the incident and called the nation to pray for her life.
