Pakistan condoles death of President Mukherjee's wife

Pakistan today expressed condolences on the death of President Pranab Mukherjee's wife, Suvra.

"The Government of Pakistan expresses its deep condolences on the demise of Mrs. Suvra Mukherjee, wife of His Excellency Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, President of the Republic of India," the Foreign Office (FO) said in a statement.

Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain has sent a condolence letter to Mukherjee, it added.

Suvra had been ailing for some time and she passed away here this morning at the age of 74.
