Parameshwara takes over the Home department from K J George, who has now been given all subjects relating to Bengaluru development, including the city civic body Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike.

Another inductee in the cabinet rank Manohar Tahsildar has been entrusted with the Excise department.

Ministers of State A Manju and Vinay Kulkarni have been given Animal Husbandry and Sericulture and Mines and Geology, respectively, according to a Raj Bhavan communique.

Siddaramaiah had expanded his nearly

two-and-half-year-old ministry yesterday inducting four members, making it full-fledged with a total strength of 38.

Parameshwara, a Dalit, became a minister but without getting the Deputy Chief Minister's post he was aspiring for, after being coaxed by the Congress top leadership to be part of the cabinet.
