Official sources today said the statement of Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh, which appeared to contradict BJP President Amit Shah's allegations that Saradha chit fund scam money had been used to fund terror activities in Bangladesh, has been misinterpreted by the media.
Sources close to the minister said that he had told Parliament that the matter was under investigation and emphasised that so far no transaction to fund terror has been revealed.
The sources said the question in Parliament was specific to CBI investigation and the answer was in specific to investigation done by CBI and there may be other investigating agencies like NIA inquiring into the case.
