Pathankot municipal commissioner held on bribery charges

Acting on a complaint of Amish Sharma that municipal commissioner J P Singh has demanded Rs 10 lakh bribe from him to approve construction of his house at Dhangu Road here, Vigilance Bureau officials laid a trap yesterday and arrested Singh while he was taking the first instalment of Rs 2.50 lakh bribe from the complainant, officials said.
