PDP leaders misleading people in J&K: NC

"The Peoples Democratic Party leadership is misleading the people of the state by claiming that the period from 2002 to 2008, when the party was in power, was better..This is nothing but a bundle of lies," NC's provincial president Rattan Lal Gupta said in a statement here.

The leader claimed that Jammu and Kashmir was pegged as the second most corrupt state in the country during the PDP rule.

"The people were divided on communal lines and on regional issues. There was no peace," he added.

Gupta said the Omar Abdullah-led government had ushered in a "new era of development" and the PDP was deliberately targeting the ruling party as "it is not able to digest the positive changes".
