Angry over the death of a 50-year-old man in custody, hundreds of people today gheraoed a police station in Budhana town demanding strict action against guilty police personnel.
Police had arrested Nawab, who was wanted in a case, but he died due to heart failure in police custody, a senior police official said.
He was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared dead.
Following Nawab's death, people become angry and protested and gheraoed the police station, demanding strict action against the police.
Trouble started when irate people started protest after laying body in police station compound.
Senior police officers have rushed to spot and security has been tightened in the area and extra police has been deployed in town.
