Police arrest man with 4 kg contraband

Police today arrested a person and allegedly recovered from him 4 kg of charas in Jammu city.

A police party, while on patrolling duty in Tawi area, intercepted one pedestrian Jewan Singh, who was roaming in suspicious circumstances near Tawi Bridge in the city, a police officer said.

Police recovered 4 Kg of charas from him which he had brought illegally from Ramban area for further supply in Jammu city, he said adding the accused was arrested.

A case in this regard was registered at Nowabad police station, he said.

A probe has been started in the connection, he said.
