Police constable commits suicide in Haryana

A police constable allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan at his residence in Police Line here.

The deceased, identified as Subash, was posted as a constable at Police Line and was staying in E block there, DSP, headquarters, Mukesh said.

The incident was reported by Subash's neighbour who said that a foul smell was coming from his room that had remained closed for the past few days, he said.

The body has been sent for post-mortem, Mukesh said, adding that his family has been informed about the incident.

The matter is being probed, police added.
