A magistrate court here today extended by two days the CB-CID custody of Yuvraj, the main accused in the murder of Dalit youth Gokulraj.

Chief Judicial Magistrate S Malarmathy extended the remand when Crime Branch-CID, investigating the case, produced Yuvaraj in the court on expiry of the five-day custody granted on Monday last.

Yuvaraj, who was on the run, surrendered before CB-CID on October 11 after a court here issued an arrest warrant against him in connection with the murder in June last.

A woman DSP, who was investigating the case, had last month committed suicide due to alleged pressure by her superiors in connection with the probe into the murder which had caste connotations.
