President Pranab Mukherjee today extended greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of Indonesia on the eve of their National Day.
In his message to President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Mukherjee said, "on behalf of the Government and the people of India and on my own behalf, I have the pleasure to extend warm greetings and felicitations to you and to the Government and friendly people of Indonesia on your National Day."
Mukherjee said he took this opportunity to share his satisfaction at the growing strategic partnership between the two countries and close cooperation on strategic, defence and security, economic, cultural and people-to-people exchanges and regional issues.
"I am confident that our two democratic and multi-religious societies will continue to strengthen our bilateral friendship and cooperation in areas of our common interest. I wish the friendly people of Indonesia a happy celebration and peace and prosperity in the coming years." he said.
