President Pranab Mukherjee has summoned the Rajya Sabha to meet on November 24 for its Winter Session which will conclude on December 23.
"The President has summoned the Rajya Sabha to meet on Monday, the 24th November, 2014 at New Delhi. Subject to exigencies of business, the Session is scheduled to conclude on Tuesday, the 23rd December, 2014," Rajya Sabha Secretary General Shumsher K Sheriff said in a statement.
A number of key legislations are likely to be taken up in this Session, the 233rd for the Upper House of Parliament.
