Python killed by train

An eight-feet python was killed after coming under a passenger train near Gama station in Dumka district, a senior forest official said today.

The python, which was passing by the rail tracks was cut to pieces by the approaching Dumka-Ranchi Inter-city Express last evening near Jama station, the official said.

The Forest department personnel rushed to the spot this morning on being informed by villagers to collect the reptile's body parts, Divisional Forest Officer (Dumka), Abhisekh Kumar said.
