Rains over parts of UP

Light to moderate rains accompanied by thundershowers occurred over parts of Uttar Pradesh during last 24 hours, MeT office said today.

According to MeT department, chief amount of rainfall recorded in cms was Sikandara, Hasanpur, Shaswan 5 each, Katerniaghat 4, Zamania, Kanpur 3 each, Basti, Palliakalan, Narora, Hamirpur, Orai, Amroha, Meerut and Rampur 2 each.

Southwest monsoon has been active over western parts of Uttar Pradesh, it said.

MeT office, in a forecast, said rain or thundershowers may occur at isolated places over the state during next 24 hours.
