Ranbir Singh new DG of AR

Singh had earlier served as Defence Attache at the Indian Embassy in China and an instructor at the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, Infantry School, Mhow and Indian Military Training Team, Bhutan.

The post of DG of Assam Rifles has been lying vacant since February after Lt Gen Rameshwar Roy returned to the army.
