Refined soya oil prices rose by 0.55 per cent to Rs 646.70 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants enlarged their positions amid pick up in demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month August rose by Rs 3.55, or 0.55 per cent to Rs 646.70 per 10 kg with an open interest of 98,410 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in July contracts edged up by Rs 1.05, or 0.16 per cent to Rs 640.15 per 10 kg in 67,140 lots.
Marketmen said expanding of positions by traders due to pick up in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
