Retired Army personnel shot dead

A retired Army personnel was shot dead by two unidentified gunmen in his residence at Khatowal Gaon, in Assam's Nagaon district Monday, police said.

The two gunmen came in motorcycle to the residence of Dipen Nath in Khatowal Gaon area at around 7 pm and shot him dead from point blank range and fled away, they said.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nagaon Sadar police station, said investigations are on.
