Rihanna has been crowned best pop star performance for 'Battleship' in the first Empire Cinema Alternative Movie Awards.
The film, also starring Liam Neeson, was Rihanna's first big part and featured the singer running around shooting aliens, reported Contactmusic.
'Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2' emerged a big winner at the first Empire Cinema Awards, voted by Empire customers, scooping best on-screen couple for Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, best on-screen kiss, best film villain, best fight scene and best male body.
"The awards season is such a talking point in the film and cinema industry. We've created The Empire Cinemas Alternative Movie Awards to help celebrate film even more, but to also give film fans a voice and pick the winners of awards not generally seen at the big ceremonies.
"'Twilight' was a huge success for Empire Cinemas and it's clear to see our cinemagoers agree, voting it the winner of five awards," said Jon Nutton, marketing director of Empire Cinemas.
