Rizzoli & Isles renewed for sixth season

Crime drama 'Rizzoli & Isles', which is based on the works of best-selling novelist Tess Gerritsen, will return for a sixth season in 2015.

The show stars Sasha Alexander as Dr Maura Isles and Angie Harmon as Detective Jane Rizzoli, who together form an offbeat crime-fighting team. The sixth season will contain 18 episodes, reported Entertainment Weekly.

Former 'Battlestar Galactica' actor Jamie Bamber recently joined the cast of 'Rizzoli & Isles' and plays prosecutor Paul Wescourt, who has been accused of murdering his lover.
