Rs 1.45 cr worth ganja seized

About 145 kg of ganja, worth Rs 1.45 crore in the international market, was seized from a car at nearby Devipattinam today and the three occupants arrested, police said.

They said 'Q' branch police seized the narcotic and nabbed the trio, all hailing from Madurai, during routine vehicle checks.

Police said the trio planned to smuggle the ganja to Sri Lanka to be sole there for a higher price.

All the three persons have been remanded to judicial custody, police said.
