Unidentified persons allegedly looted Rs 13.51 lakh from a branch of a co-operative bank in Nimgaon area of Nashik district, police said today.
The heist took place yesterday in Malegoan tehsil, but the incident came to light after the branch of Nashik District Central Co-operative Bank was opened this morning, Police Inspector Vijay Sonawane of Malegoan Taluka police station said.
A case under relevant sections of IPC has been registered and efforts are on to nab the absconding accused, he said.
