Rs.Six lakh worth garments sent to flood affected areas

Tirupur Exporters Association has sent two consignments of garments worth Rs six lakh to people in rain-affected areas in two disticts in the state.

The association has collected garments from the members and has sent them to the rain-hit people in Cuddalore and Kancheepuram, TEA president A Shaktivel said in a release today.

The consignments, consisting of 3,000 garments each, were sent to Cuddalore last week and to Kancheepuram yesterday, he said.
