Samarjitsinh Gaekwad coronated

The Baroda state merged with the Union of India in 1949 after the Independence.

Samarjitsinh's coronation followed the death of his father Ranjitsinh Gaekwad on May 10.

Shubhanginidevi Gaekwad, the wife of the late Ranjitsinh, said on this occasion: "I hope people will continue to express the same kind of sympathy and blessings towards my son Samarjitsinh Gaekwad who adorned the throne today."
