Sena leaders meet Fadnavis over farmers loan waiver

A delegation of Shiv Sena legislators and ministers met Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis here today, requesting him to announce a loan waiver for farmers.

The delegation also brought to CM's attention the comparatively less quantum of funds the Sena legislators got for development works.

"For us, farmers loan waiver is an issue of utmost importance. Our struggle (with the government) will continue till farmers get a loan waiver," Sena minister Eknath Shinde said, after the meeting.

"The CM also assured us that there will be equitable allocation of funds for development works," Shinde said.

"Fadnavis has told us that he will ensure that no Sena legislator is disappointed (over parity in fund allocation)," the minister said.
