Service tax office to remain open on Mar 29 & 30

In order to facilitate assessees in clearing their service tax by March 31, the service tax commissionerate, Kolkata will remain open on March 29 and 30 (Saturday and Sunday) till 8pm.

Commissioner C M Chandolia in a statement said assessees are requested to avail the benefit of extended working hours and functioning of office on weekends to clear their service tax dues by March 31 to avoid penal actions.
