Seven killed in road mishap in Nagaland

The incident occurred yesterday when the log laden truck, in which the people were travelling, fell deep down the road near Duilemroi mini hydel project and submerged into a river. The truck was moving towards Kohima.

All the bodies were retrieved from the river by the nearby villagers and handed over to the relatives.

In another incident, a handyman (helper) of a truck was killed on the spot when the vehicle rammed into the trunk of huge uprooted tree in Purana Bazar area of Dimapur last night, police said.
