Six children drown in Rajasthan

Five girls had gone to take bath in a pond in Sarolia village Pirawa in Jhalawar when they slipped. While two of them were rescued, three drowned.

The deceased were identified as Sangeeta (11), Radha (14) and Nisha (10), police said.

In Bikaner, three boys drowned in a pond while they were taking bath, police said.

The incident occurred in Gopalsar village.

Bodies of Dayaram (17), Khetaram (15) and Ugtaram (11) were handed over to their family members after postmortem, the police said.
