Six feared drowned, two rescued

Eight youths, including three minors, were returning from a picnic in Dibru-Saikhowa National Park in a boat this evening when it capsized in Doriaghat area at Chabua police station, Superintendent of Police Arabinda Kalita said.

The locals rescued two of them while search operations were suspended due to night, he said.

Among the missing are three girls and three boys but their identities were yet to be confirmed, he said.
