Six killed, 25 others feared dead in Nepal bus accident

At least six people were killed and over 25 others feared dead as a passenger bus they were travelling in veered off the road and plunged into a river in western Nepal today.
The incident took place when the bus, carrying over 45 passengers, skidded off a narrow stretch in Jajarkot district's mountainous region and fell in Bheri river this morning.
Several divers immediately started rescuing trapped passengers as the bus dipped under water.

So far, only six dead bodies have been recovered from the accident site, officials said.
Eleven people were rescued alive after the accident, Nepal News reported.
At least 28 people were still missing and are feared dead in the accident.
Road accidents are on rise in Nepal as more than 62 people have died in five separate accidents in the last one month.
Bad roads, driver's negligence, over speed and overloading were the main reasons behind these accidents, police said.
