Small sugar eases on poor offtake

While medium sugar variety held steady owing to lack of demand from stockists and bulk consumers.

Small sugar (S-30) softened by Rs 2 per quintal to Rs 2,910/2,956 as against weekend closing level of Rs 2,912/2,956.

The following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal), with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,910/2,956 (Rs 2,912/2,956).
