Sonia condemns Kabul terror attack

Congress President Sonia Gandhi today condemned the terror attack in Kabul, in which 26 people were killed, and said concerted efforts of the international community was needed in confronting the global menace of terrorism.
"All nations need to unitedly stand against the menace of terrorism as it is a global phenomenon threatening international security and stability," she said in a statement.
Expressing her grave concern and grief, she extended condolences to the people of Afghanistan as also bereaved families and wished speedy recovery to the injured.
A car bomb hit a bus carrying employees of the ministry of mines just before 7 am (8 am IST), according to Afghanistan interior ministry spokesman Najib Danish.
