Various places received light to moderate rain or thundershowers today as south-west monsoons remained active over eastern Uttar Pradesh since yesterday, said MeT department officials.
Sandila received 13 cms of rainfall, Dhaurahra and Sitapur 11 cms each and Bahraich 8cms. While Balrampur, Misrikh and Neemsar received 7cms each, Allahabad, Handia, Sardanagar received 6cms each and Sawayazpur, Bhatpurwaghat, Gautam Budhnagar, Kasganj and Mathura received 5cms each.
Rain or thundershower is very likely over eastern UP in the next 24-hours and on Friday, officials said.
