People blocked the Delhi-Lucknow highway here for nearly five hours after a speeding truck killed a 22-year-old man today, police said.
Two constables who were posted on the highway have been suspended for allegedly allowing the driver to leave the spot in his truck, SP (rural) Khyati Garg said.
"The incident took place near Dhaneta Fatak in Meerganj tehsil, where the man was knocked down by the truck," Garg said.
Traffic on the Lucknow-Delhi national highway has been restored, City Magistrate UP Singh said.
