Speeding vehicle mows down man

A 35-year-old man, walking on the roadside, was mowed down by a speeding vehicle in Masuri area here, police said today.

Ashwani, a driver by profession, was on his way to his house, when the vehicle knocked him down last night, they said.

The man died instantly, police said adding they were scanning the CCTV footage to identify the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle fled from the scene.
