SPO terminated for abducting minor girl in J-K

The SPO, identified as Javed Ahmed, kidnapped the girl from her residence at Ghari Kumaid in the district last month and took her to the Gulmarg area of Kashmir with the intention of marrying her forcibly, they said.

However, both the accused and the girl were recovered this morning from the Tangmarg-Gulmarg area, police said.

The SPO has been arrested and disengaged from service, they said, adding that the further probes are on.
